This water filter also goes under the name Jura Filter cartridge CLEARYL Smart.
Description
The Jura Claris Smart+ Water Filter renews water filtration. For the first time a coffee machine can continually communicate with the filter. It recognises whether a water filter has been inserted and automatically activates the appropriate mode. It continually collects information about filter use and alerts the user when the filter capacity has been exhausted. This not only makes changing the Jura water filter easier than ever before, but also allows the Jura Claris Smart to achieve optimum effectiveness.
This water filter was designed for the following Jura coffee machine models with the intelligent water system (IWS):
Jura Impressa: C8, J6, J8, D6, D60, D4, Z10, Z8, Z6, E4, E6, E60, E600, S8, E8, E80, E800. And for the models: ENA 4, ENA 8, Giga 6, Giga 10 and ONO.
This water filter is pH-neutral to coffee and is placed directly in the water reservoir. This will give you three important benefits: The guarantee that the coffee is made with freshly filtered water just before brewing. Fresh water and pure flavours will ensure the ultimate coffee experience. Protection for your machine.
Jura’s Claris Smart filter is tough on lime scale but kind to your machine.
Instructions
Using a Jura Claris Smart filter cartridges is simple. You will find a description in chapter 2 of your manual >> preparation and introduction – Filter placement and activation <<.
Comments
After 50 litres has flowed through the filter or after two months, the filter will stop functioning properly and the cartridge will need to be replaced.
The Claris Smart water filters fits all Jura coffee machines which make use the Jura Claris Blue filters.

At the time of order (you said to be honest) I was somewhat dubious about the ordering the filters and basically what I would get! However, no need, as they were delivered in no time at all, at the most competitive price for the genuine article. Door Ilans op 23-12-2017Good Value - I found Descaler via a google search and I am very happy, I have just purchased a Jura E8 which requires a smart filter which on my machine set up lasts about two months. which works out expensive but the analogy is if you bought a Ferrari you would have to pay for a Ferrari service price to keep the warranty so the same goes for the Jura, but if I can save some money for the Jura filter then its Descaler all the way !!!
