Instructions

Your Siemens EQ espresso machine can be descaled and cleaned at the same time. Below are the instructions:

1. Hold down the Calc'nClean button for 5 seconds.
2. Open the machine, remove the drip tray and coffee grounds container and rinse them clean.
3. Remove and clean the brewing group.
4. Insert a Siemens EQ.series 2-in-1 cleaning tablet into the brewing group and refit the brewing group.
5. Refit the drip tray and coffee grounds container and close the machine.
6. Remove the water filter (if present).
7. Fill the empty water tank to the mark with 0.5 l lukewarm water and dissolve a Siemens EQ.series 2-in-1 descaling tablet in it.
8. Put the tank back and place a large bowl (approx. 1 l) under the spout.
9. Calc'nClean flashes, touch it. The programme starts, cleans and descales the appliance.
10. Calc'nClean pulses. This process takes about 20 minutes.
11. Empty the bowl, open the machine, empty the drip tray and reinsert it.
12. Close the door and place bowl under the spout.
13. Clean the water tank and reinsert the water filter (if you have removed it).
14. Fill the water tank with fresh water up to the "max" mark and place the bowl back under the spout.
15. Calc'nClean flashes, touch Calc'nClean. The programme starts, cleans and rinses the appliance.
16. Calc'nClean pulses. This process takes about 20 minutes again.
17. Empty, clean and reinsert the drip tray and coffee grounds container. The programme is finished. The machine is again fully ready for use!
